  • Beyond Diversity

    Protecting Your Organization and Your Employees from Discrimination

    This four-hour workshop is an interactive, safe way to discuss diversity with your teams. It is designed to foster discussion and thought, and finally ultimately change insensitive behavior.

    Participants will learn about diversity on three levels. First, participants will connect with the definition of diversity. Secondly, workshop members will understand the way in which a diverse workplace creates a powerful organization. Learn the effects of diversity and harassment on employees, partners and clients. EEOC guidelines will be introduced. Ultimately, participants will put their new knowledge to the test and create positive ways to engage with each other. Inappropriate language and behaviors will be identified during controlled group interactions. These activities are created to empower employees to change with little fear and a new understanding.

    Representatives will develop an understanding of the need for diversity. We will support that need with everyday tools that increase positive communication. This course allows team members to practice techniques and make sure they leave feeling comfortable with their new practices.

    Interactive, experiential, action learning is what makes this course “stick”. Participants will engage in reflective exercises, allowing them to reach a deeper understanding of the concepts, themselves and others. Synchronized learning is modeled for adult learners — fully taking advantage of the “seeing”, “hearing”, and “doing modes” of learning.
